WEB UPDATE – May 2002

We spent the first couple weeks of May preparing for our upcoming Atlantic crossing. We had boat projects to finish and supplies to stock up. We purchased a new sail. The new sail gave us a good excuse to stop working for a couple days and go sailing to test it out. Our friend Mark joined us and we had a great sail from St. Maarten to St. Barts. The new sail worked wonderful. We played for a couple days in St. Barts then headed back to complete all our final preparations.

We had a couple friends planning to help us make the long journey across the Atlantic. We figured it would take us a month to sail across the ocean. Rod and Dee arrived in the middle of May and helped us with the final preparations. We planned to set sail and start our journey on May 25th. The final days prior to leaving we enjoyed a couple celebration dinners with our friends. Then as scheduled we set sail the Morning of May 25th~{!-~}.ready for the big adventure~{!-~}3500 miles of Ocean to cross!
